Burlap EAT frames. SO cute

"MY HANGING BURLAP "EAT" sign"
I went thrifting and found a cute black rod iron pole "THINGY" and "3" black frames each item was one dollar. This entire project cost me $4.00 dollars. I already had the burlap and vinyl at home. Let me take you on a step by step tutorial of my fun hanging sign.
You will need "3" frames mine hold a 4x6 pic. to give you and idea, burlap, vinyl, scissors, sand paper, a rod iron pole such as a curtain pole, and a glue gun.

I pulled out the frame backing and used it as my guide to cut the burlap. Once all three pieces were cut I cleaned my glass front and back and just laid the burlap on top of the backing and closed it up. No gluing needed, unless you want to.

this is them all sanded! there is no real rule to sanding. One piece of sanding paper, and you gently go over all sides, and corners (if you like.)

THEY will look like this when you are done with the burlap, sanding, and vinyl. I used the Lyrical letters cartridge for my cricut, and the vinyl letters did go on top of the glass.

I took my burlap and cut long strips to use on the back of the frames to hang them. I measured out three exact matching pieces.

then you will hot glue the strips of burlap to the back of the frames. I used the end of a paint brush to push the burlap down. NO BURNT FINGERS HERE! ;)

THEN I tied the burlap in a knot around the rod iron pole.

then I HUNG IT UP. PIC. natural LIGHT!

I have not done this yet so pics and instructions are from www.craftomaniac.blogspot.com
She always has cute ideas.

How to look younger!

Now who dosen't want to look there best and younger while they are at it.lol I tried to do the corn rows and I am going to have to wait till I have a model to show you how to do that. so in the mean time I am going to show you a couple of tricks i learned at beuty school and other places to hide certain things.

If you are like me I cant wear base all over my face because I break out so I am showing how i do it without liguid base Except around my eyes.
1st: We are going to hide dark cicles under the eyes. Use a base color that is lighter than your natural color. then blot the base DO NOT RUB! rubbing it pushes it into any wrinkles you have and makes them look wore. You also need to look up while doing this because it smooths the skin out alowing you to apply it smoothly under the eye. After applying under the eye smooth some over the eyelid. I then dab a very small amount to any zits i have.

2nd: we are going to hide my double chin. lol as you can tell from the first picture it jumps right out there. This is really easy. I like to use a powder bronzer but you can also use a darker colored blush. you want it to be able to blend with your skinn color so you want a darker flesh color. you then apply a small amount over the forhead, cheeks & Jaw. Most people stop at the jaw with there base and powder. DO NOT DO THIS! It creats a line. besides we are trying to hide our double chins not show them off. so continue under your chin and down your neck. make sure to get up by your ears. No the reasoning behind this is the darker powder creates a shadow hiding the double chin. now when applying powder on the face do not apply under or over eyes. we want them to remain a lighter color than the rest of your face.

3: I dont have a pic of this but you want to use a light colored eye shadow, mine is kind of a vanilla color). apply a light coat of this to the whole lid.

4: you want a color of shadow that goes well w/ your skin and eye color so hold the shadow up to the inside of your arm to see if it looks good. all colors are not going to look good on you. For summer I like to use a lighter color. I look best in browns with an orage tint or a gold tint. the apply it to the crease where your eye opens or as I call it the underneath of the eye bone:) you apply starting with a small amount from th einside of the eye lid out making it a little thiker and darker as you go as you reach the outside of the eye loop it down to high lite the bottom of the eyelid. don't fill the hole eye lid in beacause it will make it look weighed down.

5: to creat a finnished look with your eyeshadow take your light color again or i use a shimmer yellow and go over the whole eyelid and up onto the eye bone. dont go all the way up to the eyebrow. (we are not in the 80's and 90's any more).

the above picture shows you the difference. the eye on the right is finnished the eye on the left isn't. you can see what the ruff edges look like compared to the smooth.

when applying your eye liner look at the shape of our eye.
If your eye sinks in eather use a light color liner like a light tan or dont use eye liner.
if your eyes look close together... apply a darker liner like a brown starting at the inside of the eye to just past the middle of the eye lid no further.
if your eyes are the kind that bug out then apply liner under the eye also that will give your eye the look of sinking in just a little so your eye wont bug out as much.
my eyes tend to look closed to much and one eyelid looks a little lazy. to open my eyes up i start at the iner of my eye and go to the middle of my eye lid smoothing it out there is noe eyeliner undre or on the last half of my eye lid.

Now onto the eyelashes. No one ever thinks there aya lashes are thick enough or long enough so amke up companys make a ton of money and fancy mascaras. hear is how to make your eye lashes look good.
Dont use water proof mascar unless totally needed.
- useing a eyelash curler gives your eyelashes the look of being longer because it takes the lashes you do have and curls them up so they are easier to see. the I get the cheepest mascara I can find (5$ mascara) and go over the front of my lashes then put it behind the lashes and and swipe out with the macscara. let one eye dry while doing the other. then go back. You dont need to add a bunch of coat the reason you are going back is just to go over the tips of your lashes again. this builds mascara on the tip making your lashes longer. I like to use the brown/black because my lashes are blond and it darkens them in with out the harshness of Black.

I also have to fill in my eyebrows because they are blond. i DO NOT draw a line to represent my eyebrow. in my oppinion that looks terrable. even if you only have a few hairs in your eyebrow highlight them because the pencile will fill them in.you would never know that i have a bald spot in one of my eyebrows. i am not telling what one eather:) just lightly color over your eye brows then with your eye brow brush brush them into the shape your want. If there are any smudges left use a qtip to remove.

to help open my eyes a little more I have a pink shimmer t(cover girl) I put a little dab on the inside of my eye and it opens it up more and helps with a little dark area i have there.

now onto the lips. even if you dont have that much of a lip highlight what you have DON"T USE A LIP LINER TO MAKE LIP THAT ISN"T THERE! People will make fun of you behind your back. I am just being honest dont take it hard. on your bottom lip don't draw a line all the way under your lip just from the corner of your mouth down about 1/3 of theway down and then do the same on the other side. then fill in leaving the middle emptysmear the ruff lines in. High light the top lip all the way and then smear the liner in to cover lip. Then add whatever lip gloss you want. and blot lips together. if you have smaller lips and need them to look bigger get a shimmery lip gloss and apply to the middle of bottom lip(lightly) and to the middle of the top lipblening it. this will btighten your lips up and make them look bigger. also darker lip color is going to make your lips look smaller.

And now the finnished product.
dark circles gone. eyes are open and dont look so droopy, double chin is hidden and I used the Powder bronzer to show off my cheek bones and give myself a little bit tanner look. This is my make up at its best. and how I hide my bad spots. If you have any questions or comment e-amil me at ampollock@hotmail.com

something fun

Check back tomarrow and I am going to post how to do corn row braids:) But to keep everyone entertained hear is something to read:

RETARDED GRANDPARENTS

Written by a third grader, on what his grandparents do.

After Christmas, a teacher asked her young pupils how they spent their holiday away from school.

One child wrote the following:

We always used to spend the holidays with Grandma and Grandpa. They used to live in a big brick house, but Grandpa got retarded and they moved to Arizona . Now they live in a tin box and have rocks painted green to look like grass. They ride around on their bicycles, and wear name tags, because they don't know who they are anymore. They go to a building called a wreck center, but they must have got it fixed because it is all okay now, they do exercises there, but they don't do them very well. There is a swimming pool too, but they all jump up and down in it with hats on. At their gate, there is a doll house with a little old man sitting in it. He watches all day so nobody can escape. Sometimes they sneak out, and go cruising in their golf carts. Nobody there cooks, they just eat out. And, they eat the same thing every night - early birds. Some of the people can't get out past the man in the doll house. The ones who do get out, bring food back to the wrecked center for pot luck. My Grandma says that Grandpa worked all his life to earn his retardment and, says I should work hard so I can be retarded someday too. When I earn my retardment, I want to be the man in the doll house. Then I will let people out, so they can visit their grandchildren.
